NOMI LEASURE

ABOUT ME

When I was seven years old I ran full speed into a glass window thinking it was a doorway. I haven't slowed down since.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree from Temple University, where I majored in Broadcasting, Telecommunications and Mass Media with a certificate in Writing. With an eclectic mix of skills, my professional experience spans editorial writing, broadcast news and teaching. For four years I served as Newsroom Apprentice at KDKA-TV News in Pittsburgh, PA. While at KDKA I had the opportunity to pitch and produce my own news stories, which aired on live television. With seven years of intensive theater training, I have taught theater at both the elementary school and college level. I've worked as a freelance writer for women's health and lifestyle magazine AnneOfCarversville.Com, and published several articles that explored the intersection of fashion and feminism. Taking advantage of Temple University's Los Angeles Study Away Program, I spent three months at the LA based company GOOD Worldwide Inc. I worked as an editorial intern, and assisted with copy editing, researching, writing, and brainstorming ideas for the quarterly, print magazine GOOD. Additionally, I maintain a personal blog which reachers over 3,000 unique readers.

I like to tell stories, and am hell bent on changing the world.
